The moment, as we know, is fraught with pitfalls. Although starting with the time lag in the novena proposed, we try to recover the lost days in fervor. For the Pope who is the subject for several weeks, and with him the whole Church, especially of violent attacks in the media, that Benedict XVI tarnish and discredit his person, the actions of his pontificate, and in particular its efforts to enlarge the 'unity of the Church and our Holy Father, upon his election to the Chair of Peter, quoted the words of our Lord: "I send you as sheep among wolves" had clear knowledge of rough mission and immense suffering that 'would be expected to accept the job. He then appealed to our prayers to remain steadfast in its mission. Today more than ever they are required to take the helm of the firm of Peter in the storm.
St. John Bosco, said in his famous dream 'of the three whiteness', shows us the two columns which must be anchored in the Church not to sink in the storm: S. And Holy Eucharist Virgin Mary. To support spiritually S. Father, inspired by the dream of Don Bosco, we propose to begin Saturday, February 14 a novena which will last until Sunday, February 22, Feast of the Chair of St. Peter. On that Sunday we offer our communion with the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff and the entire Church. We are numerous and fervent to beg Heaven to rescue the Pope and the barque of Peter.
Our Father, 3 Hail Mary, Gloria Patri
V. Oremus pro Pontifice our Benedicto.
R. Consérvet eum Dominus, et vivíficet eum eum et beátum fáciat on earth, and not in ánimam inimicórum tradat eum eius.
V. Tu es Petrus.
R. Et super hanc Ecclesiam petram ædificábo MEAM.
Oremus. Omnipotens sempiternal Deus, miserere Famula your Papal our Benedicto: directs et eum secundum tuam cleméntiam in viam salutis aeternae: ut, you the donor, placita cúpiat tibi, et Tota perfíciat virtue. Per Christum Dominum nostrum.
